Mindfulness, Guided Meditation, helps build a greater awareness of your feelings, sensations in the body. This is particulary helpful when recovering from trauma and acute stress. Prolonged stress, Trauma causes you to feel numb disconnected from your body and intuition both are our natural and vital early warning systems that keep us safe from harm. Our classes will help you to strenthen your intuition and authentic self.
1 -1 online Hatha And Chair yoga
Yoga connects the mind and body through the breath. This connection is developed by holding poses (asanas) with awareness. Each pose is entered and sustained by noticing the body and using the breath, allowing stress and tension to release. As the body softens the mind naturally becomes calmer, and less crowded with thoughts. Prolonged trauma and stress can create a disconnection between the mind and body, and yoga helps rebuild that link. I also teach chair yoga, which is equally effective in supporting this reconnection.
1 -1 Online Restorative Yoga
Restorative yoga offers a deeper level of healing by releasing tension held in the body. It uses props to fully support, each part of the body, allowing you to stay in positions for longer periods of time as tolerated. This support helps the sympathetic nervous system switch off, activating the body’s relaxation response. As the mind settles and the body softens, flexbility and ease naturally increase.
All appointments are 1 hour in duration and are held on Teams or Zoom.
